ATF Seized Property Notice

I don't read the Wall Street Journal, but a friend showed me todays issue which lists a full page of seized firearms. (page #B4) There was nothing from Mass, but a boatload from other states, especially Michigan and Texas. It lists make, model and S/N's. It also show's a price ? I don't know if this is estimated value or why a price is even listed.

I thought the ATF used to destroy seized firearms.

The government must really need the money now.

Perhaps they will redistribute as part of the stimulus plan?

I think the value given, has to due posting bond on the items or you abandon them to ATF.
