Oh, look....Harry is jumping on Hillary's bandwagon. Shocking. How much longer until he is out of office, again??
We need to all work as hard as we can to prevent universal background checks from passing. It doesn't impact those of us stuck in socialist states as much, but it will absolutely screw everyone in non-nanny states. The next step after universal background checks is registration, followed shortly thereafter by confiscation of "non-sporting" firearms, then handguns, then anything else they can dream up.
We need to all work as hard as we can to prevent universal background checks from passing. It must be blocked because it is a useless stepping stone. It's the lowest hanging fruit, because ,duh, everyone who buys a gun there should be a record of it (this is their view).
If Congress caves on this, there will be IMMEDIATE calls to strengthen the disqualifying factors (mental health records, regardless of hospitilizatoin, for examle) followed by liability insurance requirements, and even a "paranoia" screening (ie, if you claim to own guns as protection from possible Governement overreach, you are disqualified).
Blood boiling now...

This is from Everytown. Which mass shooting would have been stopped by these executive actions? Did any of them get a gun through the "loophole"? My gut is that 99% are either obtained with a background check or stolen, that no one is getting a gun in a private sale and then committing a crime.

I can't help but pay attention to the language used. They drilled "common sense" into people's heads. It wasn't long before every anti was repeating "common sense" this and that. It became robotic. It seems like now, their new thing are words like "radical" and "extreme". Brainwashing little by little.
