Are flashbangs legal in Mass?

@mikeyp dude firecrackers aren’t even legal here. If you’re comfortable enough to order them please do and if we don’t hear back from you then we’ll have our answer.
Ha! Bang Snaps aren’t even legal here. Sparklers and party poopers are also far too dangerous for the average person to be trusted with.

imagine you try to pull a home invasion and from up the stairs you hear

'flash flash flash'
'go ahead flash'

and two of these roll down to you

Not the LEO ones, but these. And in before the "everything is illegal in Mass" comments lol

I can attest to these being pretty loud and bright. Not as good as the real deal, but good enough for CQB training and airsoft. They make different models with different fuse lengths. The 2.0 second fuses are the best. There ARE companies that will ship them to MA via hazmat freight. They can indeed considered fireworks depending on the cop or the DA. but remember, Possession of fireworks can lead to confiscation and a $100 fine. Mere possession of fireworks is not arrestable. The sale of fireworks is an arrestable misdemeanor - $1k fine and up to 1 year jail time. If you use these as a hoax device then you deserve your felony treatment.

The bodies of these things are hollow cardboard and the initiator/spoon are plastic/foam. When the pin is pulled and the spoon is released, there is a slow burn and the cardboard body fills up with gas. The cardboard will eventually pop violently creating a decent report and flash. Neat idea. Due to their light weight, these things cannot be thrown very far with great accuracy. Best used for a short toss through a doorway.

My 2 cents. Take it for what it’s worth. Not a lawyer.
