A couple of things to keep in mind:
- MGL PROHIBITS any long gun on a "public way" unless it is CASED and unloaded! No exceptions even for an attack of zombies.
- Terrorists (as we understand) them are not going to storm your house. They are going to drive a car/truck full of explosives into a large complex to take out 100s or 1000s of people in one big bang. So a rifle isn't going to do much good.
