Anyone with kids have their Doctor ask if there are guns in the house yet?

Yeah, I heard that. Is that true?

Keep in mind that you are ALWAYS more likely to be killed by someone you know than not. Just ask any detective. I belive the statistic is suspect as it includes suicides where no 3rd party or other family member is injured as "a" family member is killed so it is lobbed into the statistics. Also, I do not think the statistic takes out deaths associated with felony activity. For example, if I am killed by a cop while robbing a bank and a family member has a gun, it is counted. Finaly, the study that i saw was dependent upon individuals truthfully stating "yes, I have a gun." I don't know about you, but I never tell anyone in a phone survey that I have a gun in the house. I don't know if this is the study, but the methodology of the onw I saw was suspect.
