Thanks for your input, I have no intention of doing anything like this. I was requesting opinions from anyone that had one.
I have not read the law and i should and will.

“Large capacity feeding device”, (i) a fixed or detachable magazine, box, drum, feed strip or similar device capable of accepting, or that can be readily converted to accept, more than ten rounds of ammunition or more than five shotgun shells; or (ii) a large capacity ammunition feeding device as defined in the federal Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. section 921(a)(31) as appearing in such section on September 13, 1994. The term “large capacity feeding device” shall not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with,.22 caliber ammunition.
Now i have
"or that can be readily converted to accept"
IANAL however, I would like to think that if one needed a tool (drill, cutters,...) to convert it back or replaced an integral part which also limited capacity then you would be in compliance. Then again our beloved AG refuses to define compliant. Who wants to be a test case?

Interesting... every one of my magazines clearly shows a Month in 1993. They came like that when I bought them new that year. Prove me wrong.I have a set of punches like that. Believe the letters are 5/32" tall...

Why the hell would anyone want to ruin a perfectly good 30 round magazine? If you don't want them, give or sell them to someone else.
Yep, even my pre-production / prototype pmags were made back then. Cheers to all you folks who were able to get in on that deal. You won't get anyone disputing that from here.
Wow, so a shotgun that can hold more than five shells isn't allowed?? Another reason I'm glad to no longer be in a nanny state. You'll also not find me molesting my magazines like that. I have all 20 and 30 round magazines at this point. IF I do anything, it would be to make them capable of holding MORE ammo (not less)...
Oh, and my 20 round mags are pre-ban. Not that it matters in NH.
I'm pretty sure you can have more if its a tube? I don't know for sure as I don't a shotgun atm.
Since I'm in NH, it doesn't matter (ATM)...
