So yesterday must have been a "soft" release. They wanted to see how many fingers they could insert and get away with.

They realized they could use all five by the way.

rio 209 primers in-stock for .07/pc, at one of the big online guys. they are usually pretty accurate, 5k limit to help spread the hazmat

I feel both violated and more poorer....sorry guys, they were Feds...I had to do it.

I was facing the possibility of switching back to the stock striker spring in my comp gun....dark days indeed ;-)

I too only use federal for pistol reloads and completely understand your angle since they have been basically unobtainable since the beginning of the ‘pandemic’ panic.

I know some federals were available a month or so ago because everyone was bitching about how big the boxes were, but I think that was the first time I had seen them for sale since March 2020.

You did the right thing by buying them and I think you will be happy you did!
 
Did someone say Federal primers. I just got home from buying all of these primers from someone local. The LRP are already spoken by a fellow NESer and I’m keeping the SPP😂
Not sure I’ll keep the magnum SPP.
I’m not at will to admit the price publicly but let’s just say it was less than half the “market price” on primers.

Yes and both of you are great about sharing. If either one of you starts getting cramps or gawd forbid, carpal tunnel- just let me know and I can cover a couple shifts with my GI Joe kung fu grip.
 
Thanks to couple NESers, I am now all set for LRP's and BR4's. Also notifications in this thread alerted me to some other available primers that I picked up online in small lots. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Now back to my nap while I wait for $35 primers again...

Every time I see the title of this thread, it gives me a chuckle when rare primers are described as "unicorn poop", and a reasonable cost is described as "non-ass raping". I think that nicely sums up the frustration reloaders are having with supplies lately.

40 is shit though

but its less shit when you can roll your own 155 ir 165 gr loads vs the usually 180gr lcd trash on the shelves. 180s only belong in 10mm.

Seriously.

I’m in the process of reorganizing my reloading cabinet to make room for these federal primers. So. Annoying…..first world problems

It does make for great marketing placement though, considering that federals boxes are WAY BIGGER than everyone elses. "well the primers are more sensitive so we can get away with
this... " etc.
