Anyone Here Missing Their AR ???

Police collected the items, and a preliminary investigation found that the rifle, which appeared to have a magnifying scope attached to it, was stolen.

A magnifying scope???? Do you know what that does??? It not only makes targets bigger for the shooter, it makes THE BULLETS BIGGER WHEN THEY HIT THE TARGET! Only professionals such as the old napping guy at the bank and some 18yo fresh out of Basic Training are professional enough to have that! [rofl]

Found along with some "personal papers." So stolen in a B&E and then dropped by the thief. Maybe someone was chasing him and he ditched it. Or not. Either way I expect that NYPD will take that into evidence and the owner will never see it again.
imagine you were coincidentally in NYC at the same time they recovered a stolen firearm of yours. I'd have to believe you'd be charged somehow and it would stick.

It's really dark black, extra thick and heavy with the pointy thing in the front.

What this shows is that there is little market for rifles in the gang bang world. (Also indicated by the small number of homicides committed with long guns.) Gun obviously was ripped off from a legal owner and dumped by the thief with the other stuff he didn't think was valuable. It's a "Compliant" M&P 15 (unthreaded barrel) with a Bushnell AR/223 LPVO on it; it even has its empty chamber flag still in it. They probably figured it wasn't worth trying to fence the long gun, since the preferred firearm in the gang bang world is a Glock.

I dont want to find that one

SMH...the writing in that article just totally sucks....how many left wing AR adjectives can one squish into one friggin' article...this one may have broken the record. And why for the love of Jesus, Mary and Joseph did the writer bring up the "totally out of left field" comment about the Czech shooting? Did they think that would add more cred to the story.
