Massachusetts Bill HD.4420 "An act to modernize gun Laws"

Via GOAL:

“The Lawful Citizens Imprisonment Act”

On June 26, 2023 the Massachusetts Legislature, through Chairman Day, has released their new proposed gun legislation. This bill was supposedly the results of the so-called listening tour. Apparently, no one was listening, because everyone who attended said lawful gun were not the problem. This proposal does not represent that premise at all! In just a cursory review of the proposal it is obvious that it represents a full-scale attack on the Second Amendment in the Commonwealth.

The gun laws are already so convoluted and complex that it is extremely difficult for the average citizen to comply with them. The newly proposed language will add a finality to that as it will now be virtually impossible. There will be no way to exercise our 2A civil rights in Massachusetts without risking arrest and prosecution.
The proposed legislation is 140 pages long. The GOAL staff will get to work deciphering it, but it will take some time.

New prohibited place: anywhere that doesn't specifically post a "guns allowed" sign:

any private property, including but not limited to residential, commercial, industrial,
2620 agricultural, institutional or undeveloped property, unless the owner has provided express
2621 consent or has posted a sign indicating that it is permissible to carry on the premises a firearm
2622 with a valid and lawfully issued firearm license or permit under Chapter 140;

Doesn't DC v Heller talk about that?

I love this proposal [rofl]

Lots of stuff in there....but to me the big one is:

493 Section 122. Registration of firearms; reporting; loss or theft; punishment
494 (a) All firearms and feeding devices possessed in the commonwealth must be registered
495 in accordance with this section.

gee, you mean the leftist lied about his intentions on firearms? I’m shocked. Geezus, he had this sh*t drafted before that “listening tour” started.

Why is anyone surprised after the gun listening tour....that they are trying to pass gun control? The tour should have been an indicator to you all that something is coming down heavy.

They had this shit drafted right after Bruen, but they just wanted to say they "listened" to the people and gave them an opportunity.....

Its all semantics and bullshit. To think they weren't going to shove something up our ass right after....you gotta be pretty fxcking nieve.

It's an everything ban. Day walked the smorgasboard of all the dogsh!t that NY, Jersey, California, etc. have done and compiled it into one heaping pile of manure.
Yep. Looks like we are ALL criminals now. Better get used to it everyone. This massive pile of insanity looks like it is impossible to comply with and still own a firearm in MA. :(

I don't know a single person who is surprised by this. The fact that it was expected doesn't mean anger over it should be lessened in any degree.
