Long journey in the cold rain today to upgrade my 1918 M08 Colt .25 with this one. Third year production, 1910, first version, meaning it can to bang without the magazine inserted. Bright blue finish is so strong, it looks like chrome; probably 98%.

Now to clean it.

Exceptional condition. Original straw/case hardened finish on trigger and back strap safety. Bore is mirror.

Finally found the magazine it came with. I swapped it with a loaded one for the trip home, and this one fell out in the back seat. I drive an all black GTI; took just the right light for me to see in on the carpet on the hump between the rear seat foot wells. Doesn't help that I am color blind. 1st generation M08 .25acp mags were all blued, pinned, and had unmarked bases.

Here's a couple to show how deep the blue is.
