Active Shooter in CO, 10 Dead

Why would they sue someone who tried to provide aid and/or comfort? And you could represent yourself in that lawsuit and walk away victorious on day 1 without even taking out your wallet.

I think everyone who throws out this "but I'll get sued!" thing is happy to have the excuse. Hopefully you don't yourself bleeding out in the street somewhere with a**h***s standing around with their pockets.
you are delirious.

State of MA is a f***ing holy grail of such suits. The whole concept of life in here is to be forced to prove your innocence, in an every matter.

BCG’s up $25 from last nights price....

Now there will also be a run on everything and anything parts-wise, that has to do with America's favorite "black rifle".

Hopefully everyone has taken advantage of the past 10 years or so, to stockpile spare BCG's and many other spare parts.

Usually I’d agree with this sentiment. Having lived in Boulder, unless it has changed dramatically, it is crawling with the sort of personalities that would try to take you for everything you’re worth just because they had the opportunity, and feel justified doing it. It is a sad, disgusting place, in a shiny gold wrapper.

I’m not saying they automatically will, but there are some scumbags in the world who will sue if you hurt them in someway, even if you’ve helped/saved them from a worse outcome.

Yep. This state blows.

a person who asks 'Why would they sue someone who tried to provide aid and/or comfort' is either evil sarcastic or beyond extremely naive.

of why - because society taught them to think that they deserve your money much more than you do. and there are plenty of lawyers who are eager to assist. that is all.

RIP to the victims. Most likely they would be anti's in support of gun control. So rather than support 2A and carry a firearm to defense themselves they died like sheep.

Still, none deserves this but one should always expect the unexpected.

I don't carry a gun so I can kill. I carry a gun so I can try to stay alive.

This is how every potential active shooter should be greeted.

No, it's not. Unless you negligently make the injuries worse you aren't going to be liable. Nobody's suggesting you open them up and perform surgery.

And you're a pussy who won't get involved with someone who needs help because you're afraid you might get sued. Do the right thing first, deal with whatever comes of it after.

yep, i will not be involved, as my kids need to be paid for their expenses, and i do not have enough $ to cover somebody else`s medical bills for life.
and do not tell me about 'right thing' - keep that for f***ing socialists. i was told about 'right thing' all my life and it was never anything that would do any good for me. it is always something else for somebody else.

and, you are an idiot. 'Unless you negligently make the injuries worse you aren't going to be liable'. f***ing mental retardation, 100%. go then prove it in court yourself after you drag a person with a bullet in a spinal cord for 20ft.

The guy recording is a douche.

Me personally. I am getting myself and my loved ones out of harms way immediately. If your on the way out I’m telling you to come with but I’m not slowing down keeping my family safe to save a stranger.

@Picton said it best. You never know how someone is going to respond when the lead starts flying. I will be showing this to my wife so she knows what NOT to do. People typically behave like sheep so prepare accordingly.

You'd be pretty stupid (i.e. negligent) for trying to drag someone 20' in that situation. And that's the point.

And since when is doing the morally right thing a socialist thing? I figured it would be more statist/socialist to stand around with your hands in your pockets and wait for someone from The State to come deal with it after the fact.

Colorado lawmakers and White House officials insisted Tuesday morning that “thoughts and prayers” were insufficient in the aftermath of a deadly supermarket shooting in Boulder, Colo., instead urging the Senate to take quick action on gun reform legislation recently passed by the House.

“The victims and the survivors of these tragedies are always going to have my thoughts. They’re always going to have my prayers. But my job is to make laws,” Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) told CNN of the rampage at a crowded King Soopers grocery store Monday afternoon — which killed 10 people, including the first responding police officer....

.....On Tuesday, Crow argued that the onus was now “on the Senate” to approve those measures and send them to the White House. “We passed some common-sense legislation in the House. President Biden has said he’s looking for common-sense legislation. There are things that he’d be willing to sign into law today if it was put on his desk. It’s sitting in the Senate,” he said.

Cedric Richmond, a senior adviser to the president and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, also addressed the Boulder shooting Tuesday morning. He told MSNBC that “the regular sentiment of ‘hearts and prayers’ are not enough,” and he referred to the two House-passed gun reform bills as “just a step.”

“The good news is that this president has a track record of fighting against the NRA and beating them,” Richmond said. “And we need to make sure that we have sensible gun regulations in this country to ensure safety. And so we need action, not just words and prayers.”

Local law enforcement officials have taken one suspect into custody in relation to the Boulder shooting, and they are expected to conduct a news conference later Tuesday morning. A motive for the violence has not yet been released.

'morally right thing'?
the only morally right thing left now is to not get involved. don`t like it much? tough luck. i am done with my ranting.
do not like it much - go back 50 years and vote differently.

Dragging someone out of further harm's way would probably give them 100% better chance of survival , since they never send EMTs and Paras in till they clear the building and by that time they would surely bleed out. This country wasn't built on guys that worried about repercussions . Do something even it's wrong I'll take my chances render aid when ever I can.

My wife and I have friends that we hang out with from time to time, but the husband is completely anti gun. I just don't bring it up and for the most part all is well. Well last summer my wife let slip that I carry all the time. He was pretty pissed off about it and told me to never carry in his house. I said to him what would he do if a shooter came into BJs when he was there with his family. His response was "I'll let the police handle it"....... I think it's time to bring this conversation back up with him.
