Yes, I get it...It is definitely nice but for me, my firearms are tools to be used. The only firearm I own that might be considered a semi-safe queen would be my 1986 6" Nickle Python. I just don't shoot it much though it is a serious hoot to send boolits downrange with it.

.357 Magnums or .38 Specials. It's easier to clean if I've been shooting Magnums through it though. It's about as fancy as I want to get.

I think it has one. Blued and slightly crowned, but I agree that the picture makes it look like it is missing.

I'll stick to my custom built Caspian 1911 S/N 45ACP. Hand built and blued by Gene Williams from Texas with all parts that I specified. It has seen much range time and shows honest wear. It is 100% reliable and as accurate as the person holding it. An absolute joy to shoot.

I love 1911s almost as much as over/unders and a Derr is on my list of “must own at least one before dying.” Derr just lets his work speak for itself in an artistic and elegant manner. Like old school Scotty Cameron putters and Porsche 911s (930, 964, 993 and the predecessors).

In my mind only, classic Colt 1911s are timeless. I have 4 but am always looking to add.
