A warning to all of us

Back to the woman who shot herself in the leg -- I don't think she should be banned from the range (if she completes additional training, etc.) but perhaps she should be limited to shooting revolvers. I love my Ruger SP101, and knowing there is no risk of being burned by (my own, at least) brass is just another plus for wheelguns. Also, DAO is real hard to depress the trigger involuntarily. I'm a new shooter, so I feel more comfortable with this. But also, I'm signed up for a few training classes at S&W academy, cause I want all the training I can get!

Newsflash: people get burned with brass from their neighbor's gun. Maybe everyone should be limited to revolvers?

Newflash: I acknowledged that point in my post, if you read it closely enough. And I don't recommend everyone being limited to revolvers, it is just an option for new shooters, and for someone like this woman who made a mistake. It's just another option besides banning her completely. This is a valid issue to some, Jose.
