9mm AR

You can also get a 9mm BCG that will work with a standard 5.56 hammer.

Yes. The bolt needs to be ramped. This allows the use of a standard AR hammer. Ramping the bolt is also is necessary if you want to use any kind of a match or target trigger group.

CMMG makes a ramped bolt.

There are also companies that will ramp your bolt. You can actually do it yourself with a file if you buy the right file. Look at a M16 style bolt and look at the ramp on it below the firing pin. Then use the file to match that ramp on the 9mm bolt.

It doesn't need to be exact. Or simply bring your standard bolt to a machinist with the 9mm bolt and say "make this one look like this one".

I have a DDLES Colt pattern lower(SBR'd [devil2] ) and their complete upper which took forever to get but has been flawless so far. It's a super fun gun and I reload 9mm so it's cheap to feed.
