357 mag question

I am about start loading for a 357 mag (rifle not pistol).

I have decided on bullet manufacturer, wieght, and powder.

my question is why when i look up the data in different books and on hodgdons website i find 2 different size bullets. some say .357 and some say .358

i am using the same bullet manufacturer so it should not change should it

Usually, jacketed bullets are .357" and lead is .358".
