308 surplus as close as possible

i did do a search and found nothing.

I just got an M1A and wanted to reload two types of bullets. 168 grain match to use with the scope and 147 grain to match surplus ammo. I checked catalogs no 147 to be found and my reload book has zero recipes for 147.

Should i just buy 150 grain and load those?

I have noticed that the loads in my books for .308 140 grain and 150 grain are the same.

if this is true than use the 150grain data start with the and go about 10% less than the books say as a starting out load i was just looking up 143 grain loads so this is what i will do.
