Right, as I noted about the lighter supersonic loads benefit more from the longer bbl but I think there are probably better choices for a 16" bbl. $0.02 nothing more.

However for someone who is already into 300blk, it becomes a why not type of thing. There are plenty of people that hunt with 357/44mag rifles and 7.62x39 because they are light and restricted in their shooting range, I think 300blk fits right in there with those options. When my daughter becomes old enough she will likely learn to hunt with that rifle.

I will say though, now that hunting with suppressors is gtg up here, I am more inclined to take my 8.5" gun and can out this fall.
