Youth Pheasant Day

Had a good day at the club for Youth pheasant. 15 kids and mentors. Kids in training since August. I mentored a girl this year. She had an opportunity at 10 solid points and flushes. 0 hits for her unfortunately, we had to rib her about being a PETA plant and saving birds lives. Still she had a lot of fun, and fun had by all. Especially the dog!

Absolutely. Stuff like that is the most important thing we can do to keep sportsmanship alive. I do what I can, mainly recruiting people to pistol shooting events, but I would love to start helping with hunter ed/ youth programs. My son just turned one so I have a while before I stick my father’s old Red Rider in his hands for the first time.
