When: Saturday mornings in January 2011 from 8am till noon
8am to 9:30am registration and zero
10am race starts, will be a time trial start.
Where: Harvard Sportsmen's Club, 200/300 yard range
What: Winter Biathlon, back for it's third year. Format is basically ski, shoot prone, ski, shoot offhand, ski. We MAY have a snowmobile to lay tracks for skate skiing, but there are people that still do traditional cross country skiing. A few even use snowshoes. Rifles used must be a bolt action 22LR, can be magazine fed. We shoot at Steel Biathlon Targets so sub-sonic ammo needs to be used. If you do not have a rifle, I have a couple of extras. Just be sure to PM me to make sure that I have one available.
On Jan 22, we will be running a race in conjunction with a few other clubs from NH, VT and ME. There will be a $15 race fee for all participants. It will be the de facto Massachusetts State Championships.
If you would like more information, please PM me your email address and I can add you to the listserv.
