As others have said in another thread, gun shows are definitely for new gun owners who don’t know any better with regard to prices and availability of guns/ammo. It’s just a complete waste of time, gas, and money.
I'd agree, but the average age at MOST shows is well over 50. Maybe it's come down a bit in the last couple of years. But for a long time, it was me and the guy with the Hitman tattoo and everyone else was 50+ it seemed. Well, besides the 2-3 moms' with the babies in the strollers. (WTF was ever up with that???)
My buddy who is a dealer told me the “ammo” guy at the front door was arrested for selling to an unlicensed customer. And some wack job waiting to get in got pinched outside for something and arrested. I double checked with friend if the arrests made because of lack of personal hygiene? Answer was no.
High capacity lack of bathing???
I to used to get the beef jerky to untill one time I did and when I got home and went to eat it I realized it was all moldy so i never bought it again that sucks because I really liked it.
The gun-show jerky-beefstick guy keeps his stuff pretty wet. I suspect it's "freshly" made. Like he makes a big pile of stuff right before a show. Ergo it's wet. I got a pile of beefsticks from him once. Over the next 2-3 days, they dried out like you wouldn't BELIEVE.
I move too quick to bother stopping anymore. Back in the day, it would be after 10 before I hit the jerky guy at Marlboro. Now it's 9:25 or so.
