Loading .222...
(yes 222 not 223)
Loading a 63 grain bullet C.O.A.L. maxed out, however I've noticed it seats very deep as compared to a 50 grain bullet... by .014". Is this going to create a over pressure problem?
Shooting a Mini14 in 222 with a twist rate of 1 in 7.

So.. I assume you've checked a reloading manual or three, right?

What powder are you using? It can matter a lot.

Ya check three different manuals.
Using H4895
The highest I found is for 60 grain.
I think I know the answer already, just looking for thoughts.

Generally, heavier bullets require *less* powder than light ones, not more.

It's because it takes a little longer for the bullet to start moving, so the powder can build up more pressure faster. Burn rate is related to pressure, and it's not linear. i.e., a little more pressure leads to a lot faster burning, which leads to even more pressure,...

If you go too far, the gun blows up.

So, I'd start with a really low load, and work up slowly, checking for signs of overpressure.
