Why no Benelli Argo E rifles in the US?

The MR1 looks awesome, a detachable mag .223

If it's like their shotguns I bet near $2k. For half that much money you could have a Browning autoloader, which IMO is one of the best field rifles ever made. I'm sure a 308 with that benelli captive bolt and gas recovery system would be pretty easy to shoot well.

The MR1 used to be sold in the US and can still be found for around $1200. The question is - why? An AR will serve you better.

I have an R1 in 300wm... great rifle. You can get them for $850-900 which is pretty good. They make 10rd mags for it as well in some of the calibers.

As far as the AR being better. It depends what your shooting at and how far...
