WHAT IF? Some fringe literature is a barometer to something known, yet hidden?

Is there something going on that NASA is privy to? There's been a lot of meteor activity of late, especially here on the Eastern Coast:

This video posts an interesting theory on the HUGE fire in Fort McMurray in Canada. The location of an Extreme Wildfire that caused the evacuation of over 90,000 people, why the non-disclosure for media?

It is a good and valid question, never heard of that "protocol" used in a "wildfire" scenario. I lived out west for a few and saw my share.

There are a few classic science fiction books that have been topics of discussion on this survival thread.

- The Year Startdust Fell http://www.amazon.com/Year-When-Star...+stardust+fell , about when a meteor leaves some dust in the air which seizes up any metal bearings surfaces, which quickly brings civilization down quite a few pegs.

- Lucifer's Hammer (http://www.amazon.com/Lucifers-Hamme...rds=hammerfall) A giant asteroid hits ocean near Los Angeles.

- Day Of The Triffids (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1332653/) (http://www.amazon.com/Day-Triffids-2...f+the+triffids)
A meteor shower causes anyone who viewed it to become blind. Most of the world's population views it. Chaos results.

Maybe that's why there are a lot of "camp sites" being invested in. Just sayin'.

The point of this exercise is to use some rationale to explain the non-disclosure. It's really easy to blow things off as b.s. ignore a query and move on. But I don't see any one on here trying to evaluate and provide an alternate theory. That's the whole concept of the postulation.

Since this is a potential Survival scenario, wouldn't it make sense to look at the logistics of the displacement of 90,000 people as a potential survival case? Or was Katrina just the only type of situation that comes to mind?

Before squashing a thread, look at the question from all angles. The real value of these forums is in exponential idea generation.

global warming - and it won't matter if it's man-made or not - we're gonna have to get used to more forest fires, more drought, more disease, more insects, and in some places, more snow and crazy winters.

The fire is still burning too.

At one point, the fire was so nasty it was even creating its own weather. “The plume of smoke above the fire had lightning coming out of it, and that lightning was hitting the ground and starting new fires,” says Fairweather. “I had never seen that before.”
