What does this mean?

Saw this on Everett's Firearms Licensing page - a buddy of mine pointed this out as he lives there...

"Calling other Agencies involved in this process will not speed it up, and all contacts to them are forwarded here."

Are the implying that if you call the Status Check number for FRB that they forward that info along to local PD's? That doesn't seem right...

IANAL but they are probably getting calls saying, "Hey, we're getting calls. What's up with you guys?" Thus the, "all contacts to them are forwarded here."
