But losing the war. The demographics working against conservative gun owners is bad, and will be much worse in 5-10 years.According to AmmoLand. It's a good read.

It's definitely an optimistic article and they gloss over some of the many losses in the 2A war. It does highlight the wins so it is nice to hear once in a while. But losing the war. The demographics working against conservative gun owners is bad, and will be much worse in 5-10 years.
It’s great that we are winning big on things like Constitutional Carry but what difference does it make when the Socialists are trying to pass bans on anything over 5 rounds. That means we can’t even carry a revolver. And, where we are having 2A wins in free states we are getting our asses handed to us in the socialist states in the form of enforcement notices, not even laws.
We’re not.Sure doesn't feel like we are.
So are we winning or losing????Most of the national gun media has no clue what goes on around here nor understands the complexity of the issues. Looking at a basic NRA or Handgunlaw.us blurb is not sufficient to understand Mass. RI is somewhat similar but rather than being overly complicated, RI is mostly silent. Someone could move into a random RI town, assume they're good to go with applying for a town shall-issue carry permit, and then be looking at a $10k lawsuit in order to get said permit (although I believe this is less of a problem now in most towns).
Note that the gun media is going to focus on the possible, not the impossible. It took two SJC cases and a SCOTUS smack-down for Mass to begrudgingly allow stun guns/tazers. What are they going to report on the Maura Healey lawsuit? "Hey everyone! Look! A motion for continuance has been denied! But the case still isn't past summary judgment yet, so any number of things can happen! In Massachusetts, a place most of our readership has never been to and refuses to 'give money to'! Because most of our readers are middle aged to old, ultra-conservative, and cheap!" Beyond lawyers and judges and people who have an extreme interest in Mass gun laws, who is going to understand or care about that?
As for demographics, I think the internet and video games will solve a good number of problems but will also turn the "hobby" in new, unforeseen directions. Most gun YouTubers mention this. We already know hunting is taking a downturn in participation:
Why We Suck at Recruiting New Hunters, Why It Matters, and How You Can Fix It
I think the hobby is going to get away from being hunting-oriented (it largely already has changed directions) and more towards activism, action shooting, and "hey, I saw the M1895 Winchester in Battlefield 5. I want one now!" C&R collecting. We literally have entire gun channels like C&Rsenal and Forgotten Weapons dedicated to this, with the big ones like Hickok45 helping.
So are we winning or losing????
Look at laws from con carry to ccw to any number of things......compared to 30 years ago
No question that we're winning......its literally a war and there will be battles won/lost.......
Sure doesn't feel like we are.
Press 2 for Spanish.@Boris hit it spot on. The US Constitution is all that's needed. Nothing to debate. Read the thing. It's written in plain English.

It is always amazing to me how MA politicians actually take an oath to support the constitution but then try to find as many ways as possible to undermine it.@Boris hit it spot on. The US Constitution is all that's needed. Nothing to debate. Read the thing. It's written in plain English.
