Watching 5.56 Prices go through the Roof

I have been watching prices on 1000-round cases of Prvi Partizan 5.56x45mm ammo for the past five weeks on an auction site. I've been grabbing whatever I can because I found out it shoots great in all my AR's.

For the four weeks prior to the CT shooting, it was staying pretty steady between about $350 and $400. Well.... the dam has burst. Here we go again!

Time to warm up the old progressive press.

My piston AR eats it like its candy and obviously my AK thinks any and all ammo is crack cocaine so I've been buying the shit out of it. I was trying to explain to a guy at walmart a couple weeks ago that it may cause his gun not to cycle but I was a loss cause as he couldnt grasp the concept an just kept telling me "its .223 that's what my AR uses it should be fine then".

good luck trying to find tula 556 at walmart. they do have federal 55gr for 11.97/20, however.

Yep...my brother ordered 1k rounds @$400 and was glad he bought them when he did.
