Warning: "Red Flag" gun bill coming to Massachusetts

Probably a repost, but nobody's been able to explain why 140-129d doesnt cover this.

In case I'm referencing the wrong law, that's the law that allows a CLEO to revoke anltc and require a turn in of firearms.

Senate passes ‘red flag’ gun control bill - The Boston Globe

The bill would create “a new legal tool to protect the public called an extreme risk protection order,” Senator Cynthia S. Creem said during floor debate. “We’re not changing the Second Amendment. We’re not doing anything drastic. All we’re doing is making restrictions on those that should not be using guns.”

The Newton Democrat said that too many times after a tragedy, family members say they are not surprised and that there were red flags pointing to a person’s homicidal or suicidal thoughts.

Over the course of Thursday afternoon, the Senate adopted several amendments, including ones mandating courts notify gun owners of their right to counsel and shortening the amount of time someone found to be a danger would have to turn over their guns. Support came from Republicans and Democrats for those changes.

Red flag the people that vote for it.
After all, it's effectively legalizing SWATTING. Think about it...

And, if you defend yourself, they can murder you, all the while crying "see! he was crazy!" thereby justifying said murder. And the DA will do what DAs always do, justify murders/abuses that cops commit, because his animals are more equal than you.
