Walnut grip care?

Have an old Army Colt revolver with plain walnut grips. Any suggestion on care? New to revolvers, if it were a walnut gun stock I would use BLO with a nice rubbed wax finish. Not sure if this method applies??

I don't have much experience with these but if dirty I'd probably clean with a soft old toothbrush and some wood cleaner thats rated for use on antique wood and won't harm finishes. Then use the same treatment for any Garand stock which for me would be BLO.

What Ray said. I'd use some Murphy's Oil Soap with the toothbrush, and make sure the grips are completely dry before using the BLO.
