Upgraded the DOT slot in my collection. Picked this up in trade off GunBoards. Cost me my cyqP38 in a made up rig, and I sold a nice P38 holster on eBay. So I'm down to one P38; my well worn January 1944 bring back rig.

Nice DOT in Walnut (unusual). All matched save floor plate, but the finish marches the rest of the rifle. Haven't taken it down yet; just outside pics. Bore is OK, needs a little cleaning. My last original sling; needs a keeper. Came with rod and sight hood. Rod may be original, but hood is flimsy - I think it is a repro.

That stock is very easy on the eyes.
Are the Czech made K98s on par with the other producers?

Make that my byf44 r-block. I let so many pieces go recently, I've kind of lost track.

The Czechs made good guns; the VZ24 was basically a K98 and was immediately integrated into German service as the G.24(t). Some were modified into K98s by filling in the wrist swivel, adding stock disc, and sometimes cutting a sling relief into the butt stock.

Firing pin, extractor, and stock match. The stock also matches to the letter block, something I've never seen before. Front capture screw was a little stripped and wouldn't hold; swapped it out with a spare.

Barrel code: Shield/DOT13, CU, e/63

Decided to lay the Karabiner children out on the patio table for a family photo; I now have 20 Karabiner, foreign and domestic. Kind of like rabbits; you've your mini-lops, Holland-Lops, Lion-Lops, French-Lops, etc.

I think I'm one short of the Duggan's 21 kids, isn't it, at the latest count?

Hello, my name is Tim, and I have a problem...

The whole September issue of National Geographic focuses on addiction... just saying...

Nice grouping!

Great collection & I really enjoyed the pics.

Would it be wrong of me to say, 'Hey, nice buns Tim!'? Those guys get in as much trouble as my young German Shepherd.
