saw this on the local news..... identity theft used to rack up $300k in medical bills in CA, the thief croaks, this guy's family gets a letter stating they need to pay back the VA for the pension the guy has been receiving since he "died"
AND the hospital in CA sent him a bill for treatment.....
he's already living in section 8 housing on his $3,000/month military pension, his landlord has agreed to lower his rent to $25 until he gets paid again, but when the bank received notice that he was dead, they closed his checking account....
