Damn that is awesome. Nice shootin. Seemed like you never even reloaded, probably because how quickly you do it lol.
I really wish my club was able to do this as it looks like so much fun. I'm well over an hour away from these clubs that hold these events whereas my club is 5 minutes from my house.
I had a great time today.
This version is a little blurry because I tried to keep the file size down. I need to figure out how to export better quality without making the file huge.
Gloucester is a bit of a hike from the clubs that do USPSA/IDPA stuff, but it's worth making the drive at least once to try it out. Some folks drive well over an hour to come to matches at Harvard (my "home" club).
Yeah I definitely need to try at least once for sure. One of these days I'll have to get in contact with you or another NESer at these clubs.

Shameless plug for the Hopkinton Intro to USPSA class which we run once a year at the "beginning" of the season. I know it seems like a long way away since the season is just winding down but if you're really interested in the sport keep it on your radar! You can check this thread from last years class to see what I'm talking about
Great match! Big thanks to Dave and the NB crew for all the work and for opening up their club to us. More thanks to the competitors who wisely chose the tape over the whip of El Pres . I shot on staff day and didn't get every stage on video but did remember to hand the phone off for a few runs...

Nice there - what you didn't get the famous "Eight Speed" on video!!!!
.... Pro Tip for all you beginners out there, the order is:
1) Clamshell opens
2) You shoot target
Do not reverse the order.
Clamshell got me too - I shot the no shoot before it opened too..

My mediocre match.

I finished about how I thought I would. A few disappointing moments, but I got out of the sport what I put into it this year. Still fun times with a bunch of friends. I should get the bump to A class also once they use this match as a classifier.
Sean, Yes, that was Rob running the camera. He told me that's how he ran it, and I said I would stay back when I recorded him.Nick, was that Rob running the camera on Raiders? I had no idea he was going to do that, probably better that way. It did make for a great video showing the Denton route.
It was not easy to RO that stage being shot in that sequence, there was one less experienced competitor who got lost/confused and really scared the crap out of me.
Pete, had you shot the steel poppers clean on Raiders, you would have beat my time for sure.
I belong to a small club that is 5 min from my house. Harvard Sportsmen's is about 45 min from my house. I shoot at HSC these days.
If you want to compete, get in your car, come to a match, and stop with the excuses. There are plenty of people that drive a couple hours to get to a match.

Haha I know I know, I'm spoiled having my club 5 minutes from my house. I wouldn't mind driving to HSC maybe once or twice a month but it'd be hard to do every weekend. They have these shoots every weekend or? I'm sure I can find my answer looking at their website but thought I'd ask anyway.

You could shoot every weekend if you wanted to and had the time and money. I personally live about 45 - 50 minutes away from Harvard, Worcester, and Hopkinton and shoot IDPA, Steel Challenge, and USPSA on the weekends when time allows. I try to fit in 2 matches a month.
Here are is a handy calendar for many (most?) of the events in the area: http://public.ical-mac.com/wmccurdy53/week.php (linked from this NES post: http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/threads/234481-2014-Pistol-Competition-Calendar)
