The Wayland Rod & Gun Club is having its annual Turkey Shoot this Saturday, starting at 10 AM. Work party starts at 9 AM for setup. Cost is $1 per target, with 5 shots per target. The targets are a lucky target (not a bullseye). High score in the category wins a turkey.
50 Foot Categories
Pistol
• .22 through .25 caliber
• .30 through .40 caliber
• .41 through .45 caliber
Rifle
• .17 to .22 rimfire
• Carbines
50 Yard Categories
• .17 to .223
• .30 caliber and above centerfire
• Shotgun (slugs only)
Please note: The Range Officer is boss!
— Firing will be held in relays
— Firearm instructors will be available to assist and instruct should you desire.
— You are not limited to the number of targets you may purchase
— No need to bring anything if you don’t have your own equipment. Ammunition in calibers higher than .22 will be available for a modest charge
Winners:
Nine turkeys will be awarded in total . Two turkeys will be awarded in .17 & .22 rimfire at 50 ft., one turkey will be awarded for each of the other categories.
