transporting Long guns through dif states.

(I have a place in maine) I can bring my shotgun there w/o a problem right? im almost positive i can but jjst makin sure...

what about pistols (once i get my ltc) i know i need a maine ltc to CARRY there but what about transport and so on...

Look it up here in the various Gun Laws forums. There are specific rules (law) wrt how to transport and separation of ammo from guns.

The only state you might go through would be NH, and they don't care as long as you don't have it loaded in your vehicle. IF you were coming from, let's say Florida, then FOPA would apply when transporting through nasty places like MD, NJ, NY, and of course, MA.
