Rapid Assault Tactics (RAT) is a great way for the civilian to defend them selves when they don't have a weapon. ( See post on the Rat) However people, do to size, weight, shape, age, injuries etc might need/want more fire power to protect themselves and the edged weapon is next up in line.

Not only should you learn how to use a knife, you should know how to defend yourself against a knifer. The Rat system is meant to interject either a knife, gun or improvised weapon ( broken bottle) to defend or escape. There is a lot of technique to using a weapon but you have to be able to access the weapon. This is yet another area where the SEAL teams and the RAT system excelled, getting to that weapon.

For the true combatant we have a saying.
“ The only reason we use H2H is to allow time & opportunity to deploy our weapon.”

If you would like to learn more about this program call or e-mail me. If you want to try it out, I will be doing and intro to the program June 29th. Just check out the training calender.
