Took some libs shooting yesterday

Cool man, hope they dont red flag you right after they vote for the latest minority feel good socialist politician.

Maybe next you can help train some antifa !

Jk,good job,I'm sure they will vote for pro- gun candidates now.
Didnt think of the ERPO angle

Anti as in pro-gun vs anti-gun.

Fudd-
  1. (derogatory) A gun-owner who supports traditional hunting guns but favors gun control for other guns such as handguns or tactical rifles. quotations ▼

The other thing to realize about libtards is they have zero problems with hypocrisy and using the law to empower themselves. Take libs shooting it's fine Just don't be surprised if their position becomes women, queers, etc. should have guns but still no guns for white men.

Thanks for straitening that out, Guess I was being a bit negative earlier, yes it is worth a try, but I would consider who I was giving the exposure to first, and use some selective screening.

Nons? Absolutely. Antis? NFW. One group has the potential to be converted or as others have said, at least they can be educated and see your side of the story. Antis have gone all in and will never allow themselves to have a change of heart.

@greencobra- "nons" are people who havent really had any exposure to guns and dont really have any strong feelings on the subject one way or the other. NFW means no f*cking way. ;)

I suggest individual exposure, instead of groups.
I've instructed a lot of beginners, and would never consider doing it without a 1:1 ratio.
I only did 1 at a time, and still :/ There wasn't too much time for instruction, I just boiled down the bare essentials and got them to shoot....kinda..
So it takes post 17 to ask “were they hot?” and [pics].
on a scale of 1-10?

You’re doing the Lord’s work. I think you will also find that many new shooters (usually women) will do the arching of the back when shooting a rifle.
LOL they all did that. When I instructed them to lean forward they just stuck their butt out.
Full auto MP-5???

I think I'm a liberal, you need to take me shooting. :D:D:D
Yeah I chose it since I rarely get to shoot FA and I wanted the others to try. That thing has zero recoil. Truly amazing gun. Very well built.

I boycott liberals when I go shooting, a waste of time and ammo as far as i'm concerned. no matter how smiley and chipper they are after a day at the range shooting benign paper targets, all that is forgotten when the next school mass shooting happens.
That is probably true, but if I get one person to think, then Ive done my job.
Also, if they know a little about firearms, they will find themselves in strange situations down the road. For example, they will hear people they support say things like: only right-wing rednecks go to gun ranges, semi-automatic rifles have no purpose and are not even fun to shoot, gun owners don't care about safety. They will know these things are untrue, and it will force them to think about other things they hear from the same sources.
Very true. I didn't tell anyone I brought my own gear until the RSO asked, then everyone was surprised. At least I demonstrated the difference between semi-automatic and fully automatic! Didn't have a chance to show "fully semi automatic"

They will certainly red flag me within the outdoors group. I got caught printing a couple times while hiking and word spread like wildfire.

Pray that one of them doesn't become the next shooter at a conservative's softball game.[wink]
Maybe or maybe not.

The way I look at it is theyre the enemy and theyve chosen to not arm themselves so why even introduce them to guns. If theyre squishy middle of the road types whove just never been around guns but have adopted liberal tendencies through FB induced osmosis, then thats one thing. But if theyre true liberals, youre never going to change their minds an Id prefer them to stay disarmed.

Their posts on social media:
"Shot some guns yesterday. Now I know what they are capable of. No civilian should be allowed to own things like these".

I have a lib friend like that. He carries regularly but is completely against the scary black rifles, they’re too easy to shoot accurately and too deadly. He owns one, bought it from me. He thinks they should be banned from civilian ownership but since they’re not then he should also have one if everyone else can have one. Totally in favor of strict licensing requirements, ERPO, etc. But he owns one anyway, I can only hope he’ll feel differently about it if he stands to lose his (which he loves).

Its a tricky situation, i brought out some green shooters yesterday, one first timer women... everyone had such a great time but she rook a moment to say how she kind of understands why people should be able to own stuff and some other nonsense... i didn't get all preachy.. all i said was that we had a good time, were safe and thats she shouldn't fear guns, just some people.... restrictions on freedom wont stop bad people from doing bad things.

Maybe its that i mostly do full auto or beginners luck, but even the most novice shooters are more accurate than me.

A few people on this thread have mentioned not wanting to bring extreme liberals to the range, since they can then use what they learn to support their anti-2A agenda. I personally think this is mostly a sort of self correcting problem. People who are extremely opposed to so-called "gun culture" are unlikely to even consider a range trip. If someone doesn't like guns, but is possibly open to a new experience, then they are likely a good candidate for having a safe and positive learning experience.

I am not saying that no one ever uses a range trip to solidify their anti-gun credentials, but I think it is rare.

If someone doesn't like guns, but is possibly open to a new experience.....
ain't met one yet that would go shooting. if someones digging up anti-gun liberals willing to go shoot, well, those kind of liberals aren't committed to the agenda. if i don't like getting burned, i'm not gonna walk thru the fires of hell to see if i'll change my mind.

I have taken a few die hard libs shooting, they enjoyed it. I'm talking teachers who are active in their unions, pictures of Liz Warren & HRC on their refrigerators, still have the Obama/Biden bumper stickers on their cars. The day before the Las Vegas shooting one of them texted me a pic, someone took her and a couple friends to MFS. They shot (as best I could determine) a PCC of some sort... black rifle semi but used 9mm boolits according to her; had to explain that it was a semi-auto not an auto and what the difference was. The morning after the Vegas shooting she texts me, beside herself that she enjoyed shooting the previous day.

So we are friendly with this woman who used to watch our kids when they were younger. She watches our house when we go on vacation. That is to say she feeds the cat. I recently got an update to the alarm system so the fob she has no longer works. She came by yesterday for a refresher on how to activate and deactivate the alarm. We got to talking about why I upgraded the system and of course the gun topic came up. We went on a bit about the guns and she just came right out and said is not afraid of guns and that she just doesn't like guns.

I told her about a Boy Scout event I helped out with at one of my clubs. Told her I worked with kids and parents who never fired a gun before and everyone did and awesome job.

Then she asked me if her kid was old enough to shoot. He is 10. I told her he is the perfect age. She asked if I would take him to the range....WTFF. I was like, yeah I will take him. I told her she could come to the range too. She did not say no. She did say his father would probably go with us which is never an issue because he's cool.

My oldest volunteered to come and help out...lol. She loves to go to the range.

So when we come back there is a trip to the range with my daughter, her kid and his dad.

I posted this in another thread but I took a good friend of mine who is a raging liberal to the range. Almost immediately she was asking about the process to get an LTC. I brought a couple pistols and one of my ARs for her to shoot. Funniest part was a couple weeks later during one of the dem debates when they all started spouting gun control nonsense she was texting me thumbs down emojis and that so and so and this one just lost her potential vote.

She’s been asking a ton of questions about guns and the 2A since.
