Because some powders only fill a small percentage of the case, it's easy to "double-load" if you're not careful and paying attention. Some reloaders use a guage to check every loaded case before adding the bullet to make sure they didn't add too much.

The extra few seconds it takes to make sure the load is correct is CERTAINLY worth the price of a new gun... not to mention your eyes, face, etc.
