N.Y. bill would force gun owners to buy at least $1M in insurance - Washington Times

I'm aware theres a thread on this law, but the law itself isn't my point, it's what's written in the law.

"Any person who has not purchased insurance in compliance with the law within 30 days of its passing would be in violation of the law. Such an occurrence “shall result in the immediate revocation of such owner’s registration, license and any other privilege to own such firearm.”"

So in a law which affects a constitutional right they use the actual word "privilege". Preaching to the choir I know but the fact that they have now officially put it in wording as a "Privilege" is scary to me.

I find most uninformed people I talk to believe it is a privilege already. Always make a point to correct them in the use of that word
