swansea coyote

I just saw the news story about the coyotes in swansea and I think I saw some of the most wrong info I have heard from the news in awhile. They said the coyotes that have killed some dogs and threatened children in the area could not be killed because they are protected and coyotes can only be killed if they are threatening human life. Last time I killed one I thought it was totally legal haha. Did anyone else see this or hear about it at all?

they probably meant in that area. I dont know what the town by laws are. maybe they dont allow shooting in town property (like westford). But, if its in self defense, then its ok.

thats just my guess.
