The Connecticut man, William Tisdol, killed by police in Saturday night’s shooting after an incident at the MGM Springfield casino, called for transparency in the police-involved shooting of his son in 2017.
Tisdol’s son, Caleb Tisdol — aged 15 at the time — was one of two teenagers injured by police gunfire in New Britain, Conn., when police attempted to pull over a car as part of an investigation into carjackings and robberies, the Associated Press reported.
A 20-year-old man and
aspiring rapper, Zoe Dowdell, died in the shootout. Five officers were ultimately cleared of wrongdoing after an investigation determined Dowdell’s car drove up on the sidewalk towards officers, the AP previously reported.
