My new SS 1991 started acting up again. Then I noticed that the firing pin was not rebounding back properly. In fact, it looked like it was stuck behind the firing pin stop.

After taking it apart, I noticed the back of the firing pin had been peened so badly, it was having problems fitting in the damn hole. Now I've only put 214 rds thought this gun and the original owner barely went through a box of 50. So this gun hasn't seen much action, not even dry-firing. Has anyone ever seen this on a new gun before? I've never seen a firing pin this soft before on ANY 1911.
