So how did I miss that Jose Wejebe died?

I just saw an episode of Spanish Fly that was dedicated to the memory of Jose. A quick google search informed me that he died in a plane crash a month ago. Not sure how I could have missed that--very sad, though.

Wow, I didn't know that either. I loved his show and was amazed at the fish (mostly salt water) he caught on a fly rod. His show was also very educational I think in the way he usually talked about the tacklebox he used for his trip.

I will miss him greatly. He was one of my favorites.

I thought his Shimano commercial was great where he said that "people think it's strange that I don't have dreams, but when I do what I do for a living, what else is there to dream about".
