I'd like to eventually get an SKS from every country that produced them. The Chinese and Yugoslavian models are the most plentiful with Russian coming in close behind and right after that Romanian, then Albanian. Models that are very hard to find are Korean, Vietnamese, and of course the crown jewel... East German. I don't even think a picture of an East German one exists on the net, thats how rare they are.
I know there are many Chinese versions including the paratrooper model and almost as many Russian models, but for now I'm content with one from each country. So far I only have a few diferent Chinese, Yugoslavian, and Russian models. I don't know if its the simplicity of the design, availability, or what, but these IMO are the funnest milsurp rifles to collect.
