I will write up a detailed loading description once I get into it, but though I would share this. I just acquired a Pedersoli Sharps 1859 Infantry Rifle .54 percussion. It came with s s bunch of cardboard tubes, Rapine bullets, wads etc. The tubes are made by Charlie Hahn who also installed a modified breech block and O ring gasket system that eliminates gas leakage. The rifle is used, but in mint condition with a Vernier sight installed. One end of the tube us sealed with tissue paper and the tube filled with black powder. A wad is placed/glued on top of the powder column .The edge of the bullet base is lightly coated with nail polish and seated on top. Once dry the bullet is dipped in lube. Ignition us a percussion musket cap. Oh yeah, I guess one pokes a hole in the tissue end when chambering.View attachment 220438 View attachment 220439 View attachment 220438 View attachment 220439 View attachment 220440 View attachment 220441
