When I renewed my ltc this week I saw that it goes right to the state web site. Three finger print scans and a web cam picture. How could this be a town problem?

Could the delay be when the state police does their part?

If you think that this is all there is to the process you are sadly mis-informed. Do some more reading around here and you might learn what is really involved in the process.

My last dealers license renewal took 60 days from the time that the PD shot it off on MIRCS till it was mailed back. In that case, at least, the delay was with the state. Jack.

The MSP is short handed overall, that I can attest to, personally but what does it have to do with licensing other than running fingerprints? Even non-resident licenses are handled by the FRB. Your state senator lied to you, or didn't ask the right question.

It might be a good idea for some of you to do your homework first, and learn how licensure works in this state before spouting off half-truths or believing lies. There is a wealth of information on this forum if you care to use the search function.

Bottom line: the ultimate responsibility for LTC rests with your local PD....
