Another thread got me thinking. Those of you with double guns, rifle or shot, how do you secure them?

A locked case makes sense, but most trigger locks will not fit the trigger guards I have seen on them and I have not seen an easy way to lock the action.

My Marlin levers come with a shackle to lock the action open, but my side by side has nothing like that. I have a case that locks, but wondering what everyone else does to be compliant when storing or transporting.

If you have a locked case a trigger lock is an un-necessary
redundancy that's pretty much meaningless.

Actually, because it is a "low cap" long gun, IIRC the
transport regs are slightly less stringent, but if you have a locked
case, just use that- it's more than enough.

I have a drawer full of trigger and cable locks that never get
used... because they basically become obsolete if you have "secure
containers".

I use a cable lock wrapped around the stock and through the lever a couple of times to secure my lever guns when they're out of the safe.
