Have your husband load the mag
Is it just me ? Is any body else having trouble getting the 10th round into a 9mm M&P mag. ?? I called Smith and they told me to push the follower in w/a ruler ????????????
I also noticed that it's not a 10+1 pistol. Once I strip one from the mag and chamber it I can add a 10th round back into the mag but the mag wont go back into the pistol. Booo!!!!

Mine were the same way, they went in so tight that when I slammed the mag in, the slide would release and chamber the 1st round. I recently got a new mag and it does the same thing.
They'll loosen up like others said. Leave them loaded.
Ok, after making many mistakes with forcing things in the past I decided not to with the firearms. 1 of the first times I restrained myself but if you guys say it takes more then a limp wrist sissy slap I'll try it.
I have no problem loading the tenth round. Or the sixteenth and seventeenth.
It's the "new" followers. A maglula helps get the 10th round in but doesn't fix the underlying problem. You can leave it fully loaded for an eternity and it doesn't fix the problem. You have to trim the follower if you want to be able to 10+1 reliably. Take a look at the post by Timmay.

Good to know, but one has to wonder why S&W changed the follower. Maybe it was "too easy" to get an 11th round in the old ones?
A little segue here, point of comparison, whatever you want to call it....
Every time I see a cripple mag, especially one of the ones with the tube cut down and the block on the bottom of it, I have to try really hard not to throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I also use an Uplula and have no problems.
It may help that all my mags are more than two years old (no new ones).
Mag-lula is the answer. It really helps getting the last 1 or 2 rounds in the mag w/o a major struggle.
