S&W 9VE and 40VE (Sigma Series)

Reviving an old thread
I bought my son in law a S&W 40VE and we both love it. The grip angle is perfect - much better for me than the M&P
BIG PROBLEM
S&W seems to want to forget they ever manufactured this model.
I have been trying forever to find a new barrel. The original is bell mouthed and starting to cause failed extraction.
S&W "does not stock these barrels, and has no plans to do so in the future"

I had an issue with the sightsand S&W was very good about it. I use mine as my regulay carry because its cheap and reliable. I don't remember one missfire. The trigger springs do have to go though.
