I bought a used Beretta Silver Snipe over-under shotgun couple years ago, which I believe was made around 1967. Lately the bottom barrel, which is the first barrel to fire, will fail-to-fire about 1 out of 100 times. I suspect the firing pin needs to be replaced because it's noticeably worn compared to the upper chamber. I've tried cleaning it internally but it's the same.
Questions:
1. Should I be replacing anything else if I replace the lower firing pin?
2. Can the firing pin be resharpened?
3. Can anyone recommend a good source for old Beretta parts? Thus far I've only found these people, which sell the pin for $25:
http://www.gun-parts.com/beretta/
Thanks!
