Also is the freezer buried in frost and coils frosted up? Might be worth letting it thaw out then plug back in to see how it does. If somebody failed to fully close the doors for a long time that can happen.

What brand?

Mine is 12 years old, I clean the coils 2-3x per year

Our KitchenAid Superba is from
2001 and I clean the coils twice a year. I should probably stop because I hate the fridge as it is a side by side. We bought all KitchenAid appliances when we built the house and this is the last original appliance. Just not sure what to get when it does die, whatever brand it won’t be a side by side.
