Bear Medicine

My daughter's a field biologist working in remote wilderness areas, sometimes including prime bear habitat. Yes, she carries bear spray and knows how to live among bears. I set her up with this for bear medicine, in case all that fails.

.454 Casull Ruger Alaskan in Simpy Rugged pancake with Tuff pouch containing 2 6-round quick-strips and double hearing protection -- light-weight bear medicine:

8+1 12G 870 rifled barrel with Brenneke 3" Magnum Crush slugs, surefire forend and Knoxx stock -- heavyweight bear medicine:

She also has a Safe Packer for the snubbie when wearing a backpack, 5.11 Ammo Pouches for spare long gun ammo, and Eberlestock scabbards for carrying the long guns mounted on a pack.

I was looking through a shoebox of old photos last weekend and came across this pic I'd taken at the Barnstable range back in '03 or so. (about three years after getting my first LTC).

Hahaha. Aww look at newbie's little collection. The only one I don't still have is the S&W 66. Should have never sold that beauty.

S&W 66 .357
Colt Gov't .45
G19 9mm
S&W 36 .38spl
Walther PPK/s .380
Beretta 87bb .22
